Casey DeVorss that he stole money from a Long John Silverıs Restaurant employee as he attempted to make a night deposit.  The defendant was sentenced to serve 5 years in prison.
And on July 7, Judge Robert Koffman accepted a guilty plea from Adam Geoffreyıs, Inc. to a charge of possessing drug paraphernalia with the intent to deliver. The charge arose from an investigation by Sedalia Police Det. Phil Stewart in December into the sales of drug paraphernalia at the Sedalia 7th Heaven Store.  On Dec. 29, officers served a search warrant and seized hundreds of pipes and other items of drug paraphernalia from the store.  The business was fined $1,000. The State also filed a Petition for Forfeiture under the Criminal Activities Forfeiture Act.  In a Deferred Prosecution Agreement, the parties agreed to forfeit and destroy all pipes, bongs, cigarette rolling papers and cigarette rollers, subject to an IRS lien on the property.
